Biography

Donald James Duncan is a musician, composer, and music engineer. Donald has explored several different genres of music including new age, pop, smooth jazz, rock, R&B/Soul, and reggae.  Donald recorded his first solo CD, Down in the Desert, in 2000. Down in the Desert was a mixture of original pop, smooth jazz, and new age music. From 2006-2010, Donald performed original smooth jazz with the band Dream Door. Dream Door produced a CD in 2007. In 2011, Donald created the band One Sharp Mind as a rock cover band. One Sharp Mind morphed into a reggae rock band performing original songs and covers. Donald produced a second solo album titled Water Come Down in 2017. Donald played all instruments, and composed all the songs on this album. With the assistance of Helana Fitzgerald, Donald recorded, mixed, and mastered the CD. Donald's third album , Spread Your Light, ventures into R&B/Soul with some reggae elements. Donald played guitar, bass, and keys, and sang all vocal parts on this album. This album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Donald. All musical compositions on the album were composed by Donald. Donald's most recent project is a six song EP titled World in Flames. This album explores some current issues and spiritual adventures in Donald's life. The music is a continuation of R&B and some Reggae genres. Currently, Donald is working on some new Smooth Jazz music.
